Air Fryer Beets are the perfect side dish or appetizer. Beetroots go pretty much with everything, from fish to beef. Beet’s flavor is so versatile! I first try this recipe at one of my friend’s houses, she served it as a sidedish for an amazing Air Fryer Meatloaf.

The secret to make of this air fry beetroot, something to remember, is the Mexican seasoning we will be using. Using the Air Fryer to cook beetroots reduces the cooking time and makes it possible to cook beets without foil!

Have you ever had Tajin? Tajin is chili powder with a twist of lime that is very popular in Mexico, it is not to spicy and gives an amazing taste to fruit and veggies. You can find Tajin it in most supermarkets in the USA. If you can’t find it in your local supermarket try a Mexican convenience store near you. I bet you it is worth the trip.

This recipe is not only tasty, it looks very colorful so it can be served on a nice tray and have it as an appetizer, on top of a salad or cook them for a little longer for making beet chips!

INGREDIENTS
This vegan Air Fryer beetroot recipe is seasoned with a Mexican chili powder and olive oil which gives them a delicious zesty flavor. The best part, this recipe is only 3 ingredients!
- 4 beets peeled and cut into thin slices
- 1 tablespoon of Tajin chili Powder you cna replace it with rosemary!
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil or cooking oil

How to make roasted beets
- Peel the beets and cut them into thin slices.
- Place the beet slices in a container and bathe with the oil.
- Close the container and mix so the beets are well impregnated with the cooking oil.
- Place the beet slices in the air fryer.
- Set the air fryer at 360f or 180c for 6 minutes
- Every 2 minutes shake the beets in the air fryer box to make sure that they all get perfectly roasted.
- After the beets are roasted place them in a container and sprinkle the tajin on top of it.
- This is the perfect way to cook beets without foil.

How to fry beets in the air fryer for crunchy edges
- The trick that has worked really well for me is bathing the beets in olive oil to get the perfect crunchiness and taste. Make sure you cut the beets into thin slices.
- Set your air fryer at 360f or 180c
- Make sure that you live some space between each slice of beet. If you want the edges to be crunchy. Another way is just to place them all inside and every 2 minutes take out the tray and mix the beets a bit so they can all cook the same.

MEXICAN BEETS RECIPE
This Mexican sliced beets recipe is perfect as a side dish for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Roasted beets in the air fryer can be eaten either cold or hot. You can make the cut into cubes or into slices. What I like about the sliced beets is that you can get some crunchiness in the edges that come along perfectly with the tajin flavor.

Beets are full of minerals and vitamins. Beetroots are known for being rich in iron. Iron is an essential component of red blood cells. Iron helps red blood cells transport oxygen around our bodies.

- You can eat this tajin beets recipe either warm or cold.
