The beginning of my marriage was economical difficult. My husband had lost his job and we were struggling with economy. We did not have money to go out to celebrate our first anniversary and decided to celebrate at home with a romantic dinner. I know that you always watch me cooking most of my recipes from scratch but on special occasions I prefer to get spoil by others. We went to the supermarket and bought a Stouffer’s Lasagna. We went back home. I prepared a salad and we had a delicious and romantic Italian dinner at home. I will always remember that first anniversary with a lot of love.
Delicious Lasagna with Brussel Sprouts and Oven Baked Apples for dessert
I love to eat lasagna on special occasions, for me is a holiday dish and a great option for when we have people over for dinner. When I have guests over the week I am way too tired to begin cooking after work and Stouffer’s Lasagna comes in a family size, and is made the way you would imagine- just pop it into the oven, pair it with one of these simple sides to balance your plate, and serve! How perfect is that? I can have the perfect dinner just adding some easy side dishes!
Balance Your Plate is an educational program designed to help you put together delicious and nutritious meals that incorporate both frozen and fresh foods. This was my family dinner last night!
We all want to eat better but sometimes it’s hard to get some ideas of what to cook and finding the time to do it! It is not only about cooking is also about choosing the right food for our family. Did you know that Research shows that Americans are only meeting MyPlate recommendations for vegetables, fruit, proteins, dairy and grains seven days out of 365! Only one week of the whole year families are eating right!
To have with our lasagna last night I prepared some Balsamic Glazed Brussel Sprouts and Baked Apples for dessert.
I am really excited about the new Stouffer’s commitment “Kitchen Cupboard”. This new initiative focuses on shortening and simplifying recipes that only include ingredients that we can recognize and can find at home, like vine-ripened tomatoes, freshly made pasta, and real mozzarella.
This effort begins with Stouffer’s Lasagna with Meat and Sauce, one of the brand’s classic offerings. The simpler recipe now contains fewer ingredients, but continues to offer the same great taste we know and love and now with this delicious side dishes that I just prepared I can enjoy a delicious balanced meal with my family.
I hope you enjoy this delicious ideas! Now go and watch all the other amazing recipes that I have for the holidays on my YouTube Channel. Share you side dish ideas using #BalanceYourPlate
