Melon Frog

Ingredients

  • Watermelon
  • Green and orange melon
  • Pineapple
  • Blue Berries
  • Radishes

Instructions

  • Take the melon, look for where the base of our toad will be, and make a cross cut so that our frog stays standing and does not roll.
  • The second step is to find where the mouth of our frog will be, using a marker, draw it, check that both corners of the mouth are at the same level, leaving a little less than a quarter of the melon.
  • Then remove all the seeds, after removing it we help ourselves with a spoon and remove as much of the meat from the melon
  • Next using cooking molds cut some fruit in fun shappes. you can use watermelon, pineapple, melon, green melon, blue berries or any other fruit that you have handy.
  • To make the bulging eyes of the frog, from the melon that had cut from the base, we will cut the corner and then we cut it in half, resulting in two types of triangles that we will use as pronounced eyelids, we will complement for the eyes two slices of radish to make it white for the eyes and to make the eyes dark we use blue berries, finally we join it all with toothpicks and bury them in the upper part of our melon.
  • Our next step is to make the legs, and again we will use the part that we have left of the melon, we remove the meat of the melon so that only the rind remains and with the help of a knife we ​​make the shape of the legs, when we finish making our legs we put them on the sides of our frog shaped melon.
  • It only remains to decorate the dish as you like the most and leaving the figures that we made with the molds visible in the mouth of the frog
