    Homemade mayonnaise is super simple to make. You only need a few ingredients for this fast recipe for homemade mayo made in a blender. the good part of making your own mayo at home is that you can choose quality ingredients and avoid food preservatives.

    You can choose which ingredients you want to use. I love to add a little lemon juice for a citric taste or you can even add some chipotle chile for some mayo dressing for your salads and sandwiches.

    HOME MADE MAYONNAISE

    This homemade mayonnaise recipe is very practical, easy, and quick to prepare, of course very healthy and perfect to use for all recipes.

    MAYONNAISE INGREDIENTS

    To make your own traditional mayo recipe at home you only need a few ingredients that I am sure you have at your pantry and fridge.

    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
    • 1 pinch of white or black pepper.
    • 1 spoon of mustard (you can substitute with 1 spoon of white vinegar)
    • 3 spoons of lemon or lime juice.
    • 2 cups of vegetable, olive or canola oil
    • 1 spoon of vinegar

    HOW TO MAKE MAYONNAISE IN A BLENDER

    It is super easy to make you own mayonnaise in a blender here I explain you step by step

    1. Place 1 egg in a blender
    2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt
    3. Place 1 pinch of white or black pepper
    4. Put 1 tablespoon of mustard
    5. Add 3 tablespoons of lemon and blend everything very well.
    6. Once the ingredients are well integrated, you will integrate the oil little by little while the blender is still working.
    7. It is very important that you add the oil slowly. That’s the key to thickening the mayonnaise.

    HOW LONG DOES HOMEMADE MAYO LAST?

    The homemade mayonnaise made with a blender is made without preservatives and with raw egg so it can last between 4 days and 1 week good if you add a tablespoon of vinegar but this alters the flavor and in any way, you have to be watching that does not spoil. Remember to always keep the mayo in the fridge.

    TIPS TO PREPARE MAYONNAISE AT HOME

    Be aware that homemade mayo has no preservatives, so it is likely that it will only last five to seven days in the refrigerator. If you want it to last much longer we can put a tablespoon of vinegar which will help us kept for much longer.

    There are fats that our body needs to stay healthy. It is recommended to eat fish that contains omega 3, canola oil, raw olive oil, and this mayo is perfect to add healthy fats to our meals.

    There are natural fats like the ones I just mentioned, as well as walnuts and almonds that help us carry negative cholesterol from our metabolism. I may sound strange but to get rid of the fat you need to eat fat! in moderation and in natural and healthy foods like avocado!

    The thing to keep in mind with this is to eat it in moderation, in small portions. Since a tablespoon of canola or olive oil has about 120 calories.

    This recipe can be prepared with different oils, I recommend that if you do not want to use olive oil as it has a stronger flavor, use canola oil or vegetable oil.
