Easy and quick recipe to prepare baked TUNA CASSEROLE or option to prepare cold tuna cake. A complete super-yielding dish, ideal for the whole family, it is also known as tuna soufflé or tuna sandwich accompanied by a super-rich jalapeno cream that gives this Mexican Style Casserole tuna a unique delicious flavor.

You can make this recipe in the oven or leave it cold, either of the 2 options you will love, you can also put as many layers of bread as you like and the container allows you, I only placed a layer of bread at the bottom to make it a little healthier but optional.
A dish with a very light spicy flavor, I give you the option of using Greek yogurt instead of cream to make it with less fat, you can also omit the cream cheese if you wish.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE TUNA CAKE WITH JALAPEÑO CHILE
- 2 tuna cans
- Olive oil
- 2 chiles jalapeño
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ⅓ onion
- 6 tbsp Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- Bread
- Chihuahua cheese or the one of your preference

HOW TO MAKE TUNA CASSEROLE
We are going to toast the jalapeño peppers, onion and garlic cloves, place a little olive oil on a napkin and rub them before placing them on a grill or comal.
Blend the chilies, garlic cloves, onion, cream cheese, yogurt and mayonnaise until you get a cream.

Mix the sauce with the previously drained tuna cans.

In a container, place a little olive oil and add slices of bread until the entire bottom is covered, then add a layer of the tuna mixture with sauce and close with a layer of Chihuahua cheese.

Bake at 180ºC or 360ºF for 15 or 20 minutes and voila!
