Homemade Gravy: The Perfect Gravy Recipe for Your Turkey
Learn how to make Gravy from scratch, with only 4 ingredients you will enjoy all the flavor and richness of homemade gravy. Perfect for turkey, pork loin, or mashed potatoes.
In a skillet over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. The melted butter will add a touch of richness and smoothness to your Gravy.
Add the 2 tablespoons of flour to the melted butter. Mix quickly to ensure that the flour is integrated without forming lumps. If lumps appear, simply disassemble them while stirring the mixture.
Once the butter and flour are well blended, stir in 2 cups of bouillon (you can use chicken, turkey, or beef bouillon). This will infuse your gravy with a delicious flavor. When I prepare this turkey gravy, I use the broth that the turkey releases during cooking, I just pass it through a strainer so that no pieces of skin or anything else will get out.
Add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 3 cloves. The brown sugar will add a touch of sweetness and the cloves will add an aromatic flavor.
Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. As the gravy cools, it will thicken, so don't worry if it seems liquid at first.
