Homemade Gravy: The Perfect Gravy Recipe for Your Turkey

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 pieces clove
  • 2 cups turkey broth it can be chicken or beef broth

Instructions

  • In a skillet over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. The melted butter will add a touch of richness and smoothness to your Gravy.
  • Add the 2 tablespoons of flour to the melted butter. Mix quickly to ensure that the flour is integrated without forming lumps. If lumps appear, simply disassemble them while stirring the mixture.
  • Once the butter and flour are well blended, stir in 2 cups of bouillon (you can use chicken, turkey, or beef bouillon). This will infuse your gravy with a delicious flavor. When I prepare this turkey gravy, I use the broth that the turkey releases during cooking, I just pass it through a strainer so that no pieces of skin or anything else will get out.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 3 cloves. The brown sugar will add a touch of sweetness and the cloves will add an aromatic flavor.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. As the gravy cools, it will thicken, so don't worry if it seems liquid at first.

Note: When I prepare this turkey gravy, I use the broth that the turkey releases during cooking, I just pass it through a strainer so that no pieces of skin or anything else will get out.
