These donuts, in addition to having a delicious flavor, are low in carbohydrates! ideal for people who are doing the ketogenic diet or KETO diet, we also use a sugar substitute so that people with sugar problems or diabetes can eat it.

Donuts for diabetics
Note: this recipe uses sugar substitutes and almond flour, but if you are on a regular diet I recommend making it only for special occasions.
I love this recipe! The donuts are fluffy and soft and the cinnamon gives them a super special flavor, my children and I loved them.

Sugar substitutes recommended for diabetics:
-Stevia
-Monkfruit
-Xylitol
-Erythritol
Do not forget to fill your molds only ¾, because otherwise they can over-expand and you will have problems.

This recipe is ideal for the keto diet, which avoids carbohydrates but maintains high levels of fat and protein, the name “ketogenic diet or keto diet” has its origin in the fact that the diet causes the production of small energy molecules called “ketones” or “ketone bodies”.

Always remember to consult with your doctor or nutritionist before starting any diet or food regimen.
It is an alternative fuel for the body that is used when there is a shortage of sugar (glucose) in the blood.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of almond flour
- ¼ cup of coconut flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup sugar substitute
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 pinches ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup almond milk
- ¼ cup sugar substitute
- 3 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Mix all the dry ingredients first
- In another container mix the wet ingredients: egg, milk, vanilla and oil
- Grease and fill ¾ of your donut pan
- Bake at 180°C – 360°F for about 20 minutes
- In a skillet over medium heat mix the two ingredients to decorate (butter, cinnamon and sugar substitute) and let a syrup form, decorate your donuts with this and that's it.
